Benefits

  • Vinyl Siding is virtually maintenance free. There is no painting, stripping or sealing, like there is with other types of covering.
  • When your siding gets dirty, you simply take your garden hose and rinse it off. There is no special cleaner or process to get your siding looking brand new again.
  • Vinyl Siding is the most cost effective covering for your home, which will give you peace of mind knowing that both your family and your wallet are protected.
  • Twin City Roofing offers numerous brands of siding, which gives you practically endless choices of styles and colors to choose from.
  • Modern vinyl siding stands up against UV rays, harsh weather, pollutants, salt and other chemicals, so it will be a durable, long-lasting choice.
  • In the event that a tree branch or another heavy item cracks and breaks a piece of the siding, you can call in Twin City Roofing to have that particular area replaced.

LP Siding

LP SmartSide products deliver all the aesthetic appeal of traditional wood, plus the durability and workability of engineered wood. It is an excellent choice for people who are looking to get the traditional wood look with far fewer maintenance problems.

Benefits

  • The manufacturing process improves upon nature, creating products that are engineered for strength, performance and protection against fungal decay and termites.
  • Unlike traditional wood, LP SmartSide products resist cupping and warping. They’re factory pre-primed to take paint well, delivering optimal adhesion and consistent application.
  • Unlike SmartSide, fiber cement products require special safety training, special gear to protect against airborne silica and specific cutting tools. LP products are far less likely to break or crack than fiber cement and they are significantly lighter than fiber cement siding, which means quicker, easier installation.
  • LP’s wood procurement process targets small, fast growing trees that can be replenished more quickly than older, larger trees.
  • LP uses SFI® certified forest management and fiber sourcing systems to help ensure that our wood comes from well-managed forests, and the entire log is used in the manufacturing process.

Hardie Board

Like LP Siding, Hardie Board is a lab-created material. It is made from fiber cement and is a durable choice for homeowners.

Benefits

  • Hardie board siding can be made to mimic just about any other siding material, including wood lap boards, cedar shingles, and wood shake siding. Color options are virtually unlimited. These colors are typically accompanied by a 10 to 15 year warranty on the finish.
  • Hardie board siding is 90 percent sand and cement which makes it fire-resistant. Case in point, a St. Paul house fire torched two fire trucks parked 60 feet away, but the cement board siding home next door, 50 feet away, remained unscathed.
  • Most Hardie Board siding comes with a 50-year, limited transferable warranty. This siding is typically rot and insect resistant.

Metal

Benefits

  • Snow, sleet, frost, rain, wind and even heat have very little effect upon metal.  Metal also does not absorb moisture or promote the growth of mold or fungus, both of which can destroy a home’s framing and can pose health hazards.
  • Metal is also extremely unfriendly toward insects. Insect damage can be a problem with many home sidings, and the regular spraying which some sidings require in order to repel insects can be costly over time.  All insect problems are eliminated with metal.
  • Even if a home is struck by lightning, a metal-clad dwelling is almost impervious to fire. This can be an advantage in high fire areas or areas prone to frequent lightning storms. Such protection might also translate into lower monthly homeowner insurance premiums, you can check with local homeowner’s insurance agents regarding any potential savings on premiums.
